Maharaja's Closet (Fits Size N 1/4, USA 6.75)

"Maharaja's Closet" features a lovely super 7 quartz, paired with an intense purple natural cushion cut amethyst - fit for royalty. This ring is top-heavy but beautifully balanced. It is entirely textured in a distressed/folded/eroded organic oxidized style. The ring band is fully textured, and the ring can't be resized due to the design.

The stone setting was a lot of fun. I've cheekily and unconventionally combined a blend of serrated semi-bezels and talon claws to snugly hold the gemstones. The bezel wall starts tall by towering next to the quartz at the Southernmost point, and the bezel progressively "folds" over the quartz at the East side. This is an intentional part of the design. The top of the gems sit flush with the surface of the metal (see side view). 

This elaborate statement ring was hand carved in jewellers wax and playfully textured, and was lost wax cast in .925 sterling silver. 

Ring comfortably fits a size N 1/4 (6.75 US) and weighs a solid 20 grams. Shank width is 6mm at rear. Top face of the ring (North to South) measures 26.5 mm. Talk about all-over finger coverage! 

Special care: soak in warm soapy water to clean (do not use an ultrasonic cleaner). The black oxide finish is impermanent but can easily be reapplied topically by a jeweller.
